Sponsorship Program - Frequently answered questions
What is it and why should I participate in this program?
We intend to send the posters of the glorious scients of India to thousands of schools in India,
at no cost to the school.
The mission of this program is to create an awareness about the Indian scientists who, through
their contributions have brought glory to India. Our intention is to trigger an inspiration among
children right at their schools, to become the next generation greats in science and technology.
Individuals are also welcome to gift a set to the school where they studied, as a token of gratitude or
to the schools where their children are studying, and create inspiration for their own children.
How does it benefit me?
Children grow up spending most of their time in schools and colleges, and relate the environment to
themselves. Whatever they learn, experience & see in school, remains in their memories for a long time.
The posters present you an opportunity to become part of their memories, as the content is such valuable
that unlike calendars, no educational insitution will throw it away with the passage of time. The
posters are intended to be put up at important places such as notice areas, lobbies, classrooms etc,
which are an integral part of their schooling lives.
Why is ETH doing this?
ETH is led by Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, the great computer scientist who built PARAM, the first supercomputer of
India. He feels that in recent times India has got tremendous recognition as a IT/ITES workforce.
However, the mindset of a scientist is required in order to sustain the growth by creating new
technologies and taking giant leaps.
In which schools will the posters be sent?
During this academic year, the posters will be sent to apporximately 20,000 schools throughout India.
Can I choose my own list of educational institutions?
Yes. You may tell us the areas / schools / colleges from the list already identified.
What is the delivery mechanism?
We have a very strong network of centers in various parts of India. We will use the same infrastrucutre
to deliver the posters to the respective schools / colleges, and get back a signed acknowledgement slip
that serves as proof of receipt.
