The Journey

ETH Research Laboratory was formally launched in 1999 on ‘Gudi Padwa’, the new year day of Maharashtra, in the Knowledge City of Pune, Maharashtra, India. The journey of ETH travels many territories, creating the framework for introducing DTH services in India, advancing the privatization of Internet services and launching the ISP services that later redefined the ICT industry in India, pioneering the broadband services and then introducing wireless Internet services across the country. In the process bringing ‘Education to Home’ remained the core mission with focus on IT education covering Computer Literacy, Vocational Education and Professional Competencies, reaching out to far flung towns and villages of India.
