ETH Lifetime Achievement Awards
Padma Bhushan Mr. F. C. Kohli The award was conferred on him in view of his pioneering contributions to the Software Industry in India which brought forth the celebrated IT industry that has now grown to the level of US$ 60 Billion! ETH also acknowledged his path-breaking innovative Literacy Program leveraging the power of multimedia computing, which ETH wants to take forward in different parts of India.
Padma Bhushan Mr. K. P. P. Nambiar The award was conferred on him for pioneering the Electronics Revolution in India through Keltron during 70s and 80s as Secretary of Department of Electronics, Government of India. He has been instrumental in launching several new initiatives, such as C-DOT, C-DAC, earlier ER&DC which is now C-DAC, Trivandrum, VLSI Centres, IIITM-K and most important, Software Technology Parks of India which instrumented the IT revolution in India.
Dr. N. Sheshgiri The award was conferred on him for authoring the policies for the development of Electronics, Computer and Software industry and getting them implemented successfully through the Governments led by Smt. Indira Gandhi, Shri Rajiv Gandhi and Shri Atal Bihari Bajpayee. Indeed, the phenomenal growth of IT in India is due to his innovative and creative initiatives over three decades at the Electronics Commission and the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
Mr. C. Sivasankaran The award was conferred on him for originally authoring of the idea of ETH and for pioneering PC, Mobile and Broadband revolutions in India.
Mr. P. P. Chhabria The award was conferred on him in in view of his bold initiative of I2IT which is all set to redefine the advanced technology and management education in India. No one can stop the idea whose time has come and one dya the model of IsquareIT will be replicated not only by the new universities of India but also of the world.

ETH Education Awards

Professor Pandit Vidyasagar The award was conferred on him for his pioneering efforts in promoting Science in Marathi by authoring several inspiring and impact making books on the life and times of great scientists of the world!
Mr. Vivek Sawant The award was conferred on him in view of his widely acknowledged leadership role in launching the bold and path-breaking initiative of MKCL and through the instrument of MKCL, spreading Computer Literacy to 4 Million people leveraging the power of ICT!
Mr. A. Jayakumar The award was conferred on him for steering Vijnana Bharti as a national Swadeshi Science Movement in its contemporary interpretation. ETH acknowledged his leadership role in organizing Bhartiya Vigyan Sammelan, World Ayurveda Congress and World Congress on Vedic Sciences which are the path-breaking initiatives of Vijnana Bharti.
Mr. Jayashankar Pillai The award was conferred on him for promoting the Digital Campus framework advented by ETH in Qatar and opening doors of GCC corridor for ETH products and innovations.
Ms. Aruna Katara The award is being conferred on her in view of her lead role in implementing the bold idea of IsquareIT that will redefine the technology and management education in India in the years to come.
